About Us

Potomac Valley Youth Association, Inc. (PVYA) is a non-profit (503c) organization founded in 1979 to organize, supervise, and support recreational activities for the youth of the Brunswick High School feeder area.  The Association provides the area’s eligible youth an opportunity to participate in activities without regard to race, sex, creed, religion, or national origin.

Membership:

The membership of the Association is composed of parents and volunteers who accept and support the purpose of the Association.  By registering their children in a sport parents agree to the Potomac Valley Youth Association Constitution and By-laws.   A copy of the Constitution and By-laws is available upon request.

Participants:

Participants must meet the geographical location criteria, age requirements of each sport, and must abide by all rules and regulations of the Association and the sport within which they are participating.  Further, anyone on a team must play periodically unless disciplinary action has been taken.  The Coordinator of each sport sets the minimum standards for participation.

Meetings:

The Potomac Valley Youth Association, Inc. Board of Directors meets once a month.  Meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of the month.   The Association holds one annual meeting during the month of December.

The Board of Directors is composed of the following elected members and the Coordinators of each individual sport.
